desert tours from marrakech
Where to stop between Merzouga and Fez?
I'm going on tour in the desert of Marrakech to Merzouga. The tour would take me back Marrakech if I wished, but the guide told me that is much closer to Merzouga Fes and Marrakech is it would be easier to stay in Merzouga and take a train or a bus to Fez from there. Looking online now, I'm not sure that is true … the only thing I can find a Supratours buses night, which does not sound like fun. So, can someone clarify this? can also offer ideas for where to stay to between Merzouga and Fez for a night? I'll be done with the visit early in the day, so preferably a place where I can take a train or a bus to early or mid-day, half a day and night, then take another train or a bus to Fez from there in the morning. Thank you for your help! "
There are no trains to / from Merzouga, buses only. You could overnight in Errachidia (there are many hotels and there is not so far away …. oops Merzouga is no train there, either) and then take a grand taxi or bus from there to Fez. The bus ride takes haha long so make sure you bring a good book or something. Sorry, I'm not much help, but happy trekking
