Fans are coming to San Diego in mass this year to participate in Comic-Con, a convention of comics that has traditionally welcomed film stars of science fiction and television shows to act as members of a group called. In recent years it has expanded to include more general pop culture genres like horror, fantasy and video games.

Comic-Con not the only reason to visit San Diego, but often what travelers get in the door, so to speak. While you are here for the convention this summer, why not take a real vacation of it and take advantage of some of the many sightseeing opportunities that exist in the field as well?

If you are traveling with children, the San Diego Zoo is one way infallible to hold their attention for the day. You can introduce toddlers to over 4,000 animals and 800 species, so the day can be both entertaining and education. Another activity that is directed toward children is LEGOLAND. This theme park has been designed for children 2-12 and is spread over a astonishing 128 acres. Travel to LEGOLAND are from Anaheim, so you can see the beautiful coastline as you make your way to the park in Carlsbad.
