Folks, has anyone been to Lhasa, Tibet and China?

I am visiting China and Tibet this month of May 2009 and would like to advise you on China and altitude of Tibet. Go to Beijing, Xian, Lhasa, Yangtze cruise, Shanghai, returning to Beijing, and the U.S.. What can you tell me about these places, especially the altitude in Lhasa? Details of each and every one is appreciated. Yes, altitude of Lhasa, Tibet. It is not the attitude! How bearable? What did you do to tolerate? I will be there for 3days/3nights.

Wow going to China? Good luck. Well, one of the places you're visiting my place of birth (Xi'an). I do not know much about the "altitude" (I have no idea what he means), means "attitude." In Xi'an, you can see a lot of ancient and exotic things like "Bing ma yong." The time there than I can remember, all right, but not so large. It is usually gray, but occasionally when it is light blue. Since going in May, I suggest you to bring some summer clothes. It's quite hot there. Have fun! Is it worth taking Yangtze River cruise?

Hello, I am in the process of selecting a tour of China for the year next. I would really like to visit Shanghai, Beijing and Xian. I noticed a tour that also included the cruise and the Yangtze. Is it worth taking the cruise?

In the high schools of expatriates, cruising the Yangtze is offered as a trip week for students as a school trip. Some students found it boring because there is not much to do activity wise but the scenery is great. If you have children, you do not want to get them on the Yangtze cruise, but it is fairly quiet and a great vision! You certainly took the first 3 places to visit in China, and I put together a list of things you must see / do. Shanghai-eat Din Tai Fung (restaurant) and order Xiao Long Bao 小龙 包 visit the tour to visit the Bund Financial visit Tai Kang Lu (very artsy place) go to the market fabric / square Visit the underground market of people visit the village of water going to the French Concession Yu Yuan Garden in the village of Beijing Peking Opera Restaurant duck birds nest, Olympic Centre's Summer Palace, Great Wall!
