The two hottest trends right now are Travel Travel Travel and eco-adventure. Both subsets showed a dramatic increase in traffic these recent years. A combination of the two is the Holy Grail that service companies, many have actively and fine-tuning. The problem is that these visits ones. Going it alone is even more difficult prospect. However, driving may become much more interesting if you decide to jump on the ferry from Nova Scotia and head to Newfoundland. Depending on the time of year, it can become an adventure very soon. It is easy to get lost in the center of Earth, in a blizzard whiteout, being in the middle of nowhere. the only creature who will hear your pleas for help will be hunting moose blocking your path, whose outline you can barely make the total whiteout.

If your thirst for adventure has not been extinguished, you have a few more days, and you're willing to venture further, you can get a ferry ride to the Trans Labrador Highway. This is where the fun really begins. The route is not yet fully connected yet! Apparently, it will be completed this month, but I would advise against holding your breath. Once completed, the course make for an epic journey to the ends of the civilization of northern North America. Think about it: NYC to Maine to Nova Scotia to Newfoundland to the coast of Labrador (Happy Valley-Goose Bay) Labrador and Quebec City in New York.

True, the noise pollution, toxic emissions, and the general chaos off-road machines cause for the landscape would not the best thing when trying to admire the beauty of nature. But it makes so much easier, resulting in a constant battle, a moral dilemma. Personally, my ecological consciousness, falls into a special category that I call "moral flexibility", so I would certainly do, but feel a bit guilty afterwards. Maybe I'd feel better running biodiesel instead of petro-diesel lifted the rock-crawling monster I would like to bring to runway. Different courses for different people, I think. While the use of the track is still allowed, however, this adventure backyard is certainly the top of my list.

The point of all this is that some adventures are at your fingertips. We are all very kind to create roadblocks for ourselves or assuming that things are too difficult. We hamstrings before you begin. But with a suitable vehicle, a little planning, and a GPS unit, you can also embark on an epic journey … .. and be back at work a week later!

Favorite cities of the Provence region of France?

Please let me know which of them are your favorite cities in Provence are, and why: Nîmes, Arles, Les Baux de Provence, Orange, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, St Tropez, Cassis, Cannes, Monaco, Antibes, Nice, Montpellier (Non-Provence, but close). I will be traveling to Provence in August and I am trying to decide which of these cities to go to. I am a woman, my first 20 years, and will travel alone on a budget, train and bus. I'll only have about 5 days to visit the Provence region. I would like a Combining sightseeing, visiting ruins or castles, and beaches, but I'm not a big fan of museums. Thank you!

Well, I think I can help you. I was born in Aix-en-Provence and have always lived there. So, Aix-en-Provence is the city that you MUST visit. The city is very nice with its pedestrian streets, the cathedral is not very big but also very enjoyable, the Hotel de Ville "Square, with the steeple, all small squares, fountains at each corner, the Mazarin quarter with houses in the eighteenth century, the Church of St. John of Malta, 4 Dolphin Square. And the majestic Cours Mirabeau, the main street under the trees and all the cafes. And at the end thereof the Rotunda, a big fountain! It is a city so beautiful! The landscape is very beautiful too, with small villages, traditional markets, and the Sainte Victoire mountain, famous in the world thank you to Cezanne. Maybe If you decide to come, I could show you the city (oh, I'm 24, male, now living in the United Kingdom, but back at home Mom and Dad (Aix!) At the end of June). Then you've Marseille, near Aix. Many people do not like this city. But there are many places interesting to browse. First the old port with restaurants and bars, and Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica overlooking the city. And there is the ledge an avenue along the waterfront, and the Prado, with its beaches, bars, pubs, restaurants. There are many things to do in Marseille, but you need a guide. Cassis is a very beautiful village by the sea You can visit the Calanques, the sort of tiny fjord. Very beautiful and great to have a swim in I do not really know the other cities. Avignon is very interesting, especially if you like history. Nimes, Arles and Orange are famous for their Roman origins. Les Baux de Provence is a very pretty village. I advise you not to go to St. Tropez. There are too many tourists, it's just a pretty little village that you can see the hundreds on the coast. Cannes is famous for the festival and on beaches. I know not nice but it's a bit like Cannes. Antibes has nothing special except for Marineland. Monaco? This is not France! I do not Monaco, but I think it's a very beautiful city, I mean country! Montpellier is not really in Provence. The area is beautiful too. But I prefer the Provence! The city is very beautiful too. But Provence is mostly country, small villages. It Better have a car and travel through Provence. If you must choose some cities choose Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Nice and Monaco. It is easy to travel from one to another.
