For most people, Niagara Falls is known as a thunderous wonder of the world where millions of gallons of water cascading from the deep pool, which located on the border of Canada and the USA. The waterfall is one of the greatest natural attractions in the world for approximately 20 million visitors each year, but for athletes, the Falls is much more than 168,000 square feet of pouring water on the surface of the falls every minute.

Each year the city hosts the famous International Marathon in Niagara Falls. The 26-mile course begins at the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo NY, traveling along the majestic avenue of Buffalo and then cross the Peace Bridge in the historic town of Fort Erie, Ontario. Runners then follow the path alongside the beautiful Niagara River Parkway before crossing the finish line in the Niagara Falls themselves.

Niagara Falls International Marathon is unique in that it is the only marathon that starts in one country and ends in another. The course is also quite flat and therefore fast and has hosted two U.S. Olympic Trials (in 1980 and 1984) and the World Veterans Games marathon in 1995.

Supporters of the Carrera is much to do but to encourage, to get up close and personal with the falls themselves, make a boat trip on the Maid of the Mist which takes tourists close to hitting the water. For those who prefer the water a little warmer, the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark offers waterfalls, hot springs, a pool of water and tidal wave pool, a gallery, a beach club and a Planet Hollywood restaurant.

For those who prefer to stay dry, vintage wine tour offers a vision Niagara Falls wine region, considered one of the best wineries in Canada and known for its brand of "ice wine". Here is a variety of excursions are offered, ranging from three hours "Espersso tour," night "Wine and dine tour.

Runners and supporters of the marathon can find a wide range of hotels in Niagara and surrounding area, although it is advised that bookings are made well in advance of the event, accommodation fills up fast, with over 4,000 runners all 30 countries falling in Niagara for the race.

Hundreds of volunteers also line the course to provide runners with liquid refreshment, and toilets and medical units are stationed along the route to help anyone in need. In running circles, the route is considered one marathons easier and more enjoyable in North America and is a marathon, especially good for those seeking their first run.

I'm going to Toronto in early July, and who wish to visit Niagara Falls.?

There are two tours available to choose from. Niagara in the day (pick up from the hotel 9 am and arrives back to the hotel around 5pm), or Niagara in the evening (pick up from hotel 1pm and arrives back to the hotel about 9.30pm). Would it be better to see Niagara at night when it is illuminated and fireworks (and see some day), or would it be better to just experience Niagara in the day only? Has anyone been who can me advisor? Thank you! icon wink niagara tours from toronto Sorry, just noticed that The Evening Tour leaves Toronto at 1pm and is a 9.5 hours duration of the visit. Suppose it means a return to Toronto by 10.30pm then. Would I see Niagara before the night? I'm not Canadian so not sure when it starts to get dark in summer. also wondered whether there would be much to do in Toronto, the Canadian holiday on July 1st. Nothing wanting to be open?

niagara falls is beautiful at any time during the day it is. But I would try to see the falls every time B / C we have a different view. In day you can see the fog and make many trips. At night, fireworks and fires of the tomb is very beautiful. Try the two if you can. You can simply go with your car and see the night, but I would try to do the rounds in the day. In July in particular Canada Day there are many things. Toronto is always fun, no matter when you go in the summer. There is much to do. the sun begins to descend approximately 845pm in the summer and it's dark at about 945PM. Canada Day a lot of things are closed primarily by government and businesses. Most malls are open, but usually close early. Restuaturants and bars are usually open too.

Toronto

$16.99

TORONTO Toronto is a sensational city. Canada’s ‘secret’ capital: boomtown, show town and financial metropolis, clean, safe and with five million inhabitants. Gigantic skyscrapers and with a frenetic lifestyle, Toronto is where many Canadian banks and multi-national companies have their palatial offices of steel and glass built in what was once a waterfront wilderness. The old City Hall was built in 1899 in Victorian style and consists mainly of sandstone. Its Venetian clock tower faces an array of modern skyscrapers and almost opposite is the futuristic looking new City Hall, a symbol of the city’s cosmopolitan flair. It’s easy to become disorientated in Toronto’s Underground City. Most of this subterranean complex extends beneath the financial district and is the largest of its type in the world with countless shops, restaurants and subway stations. An endless network of corridors and passages connects these vast shopping centres and offices to the Central Business District. Since 1975 the city has possessed a unique monument, the Canadian National Tower or, the C.N.Tower. At a speed of six metres a second four external elevators zoom to the top of the building and it takes only fifty-eight seconds to reach the Skypod platform. The massive Skydome stadium is home to the Blue Jays baseball team. The huge pitch contains a hundred and six rolls of light green turf and is illuminated by more than seven hundred two thousand watt spotlights. The building is multi-functional and has a movable dome that can be opened and closed as necessary depending upon the weather. Niagara Falls, although extremely touristy, is an unforgettable experience. For the adventurous there are bridges and platforms close to the raging waters and the roar of the mighty torrent can be heard from a great distance while the awe-inspiring view of the waterfalls make it easy to forget the surrounding hustle and bustle of fellow sightseers. The Indian meeting place of bygone times has been transformed into a huge city that is a true gem among Canada’s other great cities. Toronto is without a doubt the most multicultural city in the world! Source: Travel Video Store
