With more than 150 kilometers (93 miles) of paved bike trails and mountain bike trails many, Niagara is probably the most popular cycling destination in Canada.

The most popular section of the bike route goes north along the Niagara River Street Victoria / Niagara Parkway intersection (5 km/3.1mi north of "the cascade ") to Niagara-on-the-Lake (Lake Ontario). 25 kilometers (15 miles) one way. This is a paved bike path that runs parallel to the Niagara River.

Along this route you will travel through the most picturesque countryside in Niagara.

The first 8 kilometers (5 miles) is moderate hills. This part of the path is about 50 meters (165 feet) above the river offering spectacular views of the Niagara River Gorge. Sites and points of interest include the Whirlpool, Niagara Glen, Niagara Parks golf course, botanical gardens, the Butterfly Conservatory, Electric generating stations energy, Floral Clock, Queenston / Lewiston International Bridge and Queenston Heights Park / Brock 's Monument.

This is a paved bike path with hills. We recommend use a hybrid or road bike with at least 7 speeds.

This route is probably suitable for teens or adults in reasonable physical condition or good. Too far and too long for young children.

This is a wonderful way to spend a day in Niagara!
