Picasso was more than just a great artist and there is much in his life that remains unknown to most of the world today! Here is a list of 10 things you May did not know about Picasso.

1. In addition to being a talented painter, Picasso was also one of the designers of the world stage the most versatile, potters, printmakers and sculptors and writers. He could have made a name for himself in one of these areas, but chose to concentrate on painting.

2. Even if, now famous, Picasso had a difficult start and has suffered under conditions of extreme poverty. When he was a young painter, Picasso burnt his own paintings to keep warm at night.

3. Picasso produced 100,000 prints and 34,000 illustrations for books. His drawings of ceramic sculpture and reported 300 pieces.

4. Some paintings by Picasso are now considered very valuable and almost no money. In 2004, his original "Garcon a la Pipe" was bought by a collector for $ 104 million USD. The magnificent "Les Noces de Pierrette" or "Marriage of Pierrette attracted U.S. $ 51.6 million.

5. In 1944, Picasso began a story torrid love with Francoise Gilot, one of his students in art, but it ended nine years later because he cheated on her.

6. A 72-year Picasso suffered a deep depression and calm down and find peace, he began another affair, which proved to be the shortest. He engaged to a young girl named Genevieve Laporte, but ended after only 6 weeks.

7. Picasso's first exhibition was at the age tender age of 13, which itself provided in the back room of an umbrella shop.

8. In 1936, when Guernica in Spain fell to ravages of the Spanish Civil War, Picasso became livid with rage and sought refuge in art. He quickly set to work to document the brutality in Guernica a painting that took a mere three weeks to produce and was named in honor of the city.

9. Bull's head, one of Picasso sculptures well known, is actually composed of two pieces of an old bicycle. Picasso experimented with different materials in his art and even played as undesirable.

10. When he was young and his beginnings as a painter, Picasso lived in an attic and painted by the light of a single candle in an old bottle.
