It is an exercise in creating a mental state, situation, or goal that you want to physically manifest in your life. Your imagination is a powerful tool to help you achieve what you want in life. And you probably use the visualization of many times during your life, one way or another without even realizing it.

Lighten up … but not too

Believe it or not, people want you to feel at ease so they feel comfortable in return. For example, have you ever watched someone in trouble of some kind and noticed how you become tense just watching the unraveling?

To allow others to feel comfortable and to portray a sense of comfort in your own skin while on stage, why not try adding a little personality of yours? Believe me, nobody likes a loudspeaker stifling. They want to amuse, entertain and educated. It; is not so difficult to do all three, just add a little humor. However, you do not try your hand at being the next Chris Rock or Eddie Izzard … then do do not overdo it.

There is no quicker way to turn off your audience by being too quiet. Nobody is crying all the conference room "Hey, man speaks." People are too reserved in most cases. You have to assume that these little guys in the back, usually in the latter can not hear you. The best way to become a home-based travel agent is to hook up with what is known as a Host Agency. You can find lists of reputable Host Agency via NACTA (National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents), OSSN (Outside Sales Support Network) and other places.

You will need to find a Host Agency that is willing to take on a beginner and provide you with the needed training. Please do not fall for the come-ons of YTB, Traverus, World Ventures, Coastal Vacations, or any of the other Multi-Level Marketing schemes that will sell you a web-site and call you a “Referring Travel Agent” or something similar.

If you are asking the question simply because you want to take advantage of travel agent “perks”, then you are looking into this for the wrong reason. The “perks” are not what a lot of people seem to think they are.

If you think you are somehow going to get rich quick selling travel, let me assure you that is not the case either. However, if you love travel, you like dealing with people, and are willing to work hard and educate yourself, then you can do well.
